patterns > Double Dot
The static segment of the two-dot pattern serves as the MIC separator, is located outside the encoded information matrix, and contains two dots in close proximity. The spacing of the dots in the matrix is considerably larger than the spacing of the dots in the static segment.
The layout of the pattern is checkerboard and the information is directly encoded in binary into the rows of the matrix. For one document size A4 is a MIC double dot pattern printed approximately 450 times.
