yDots webtools: decoder constructor comparator

webtools

This web portal allows the use of three web applications that can be used to decode, extract and compare MIC based on yellow dots.

decoder

To decode the information, the application requires the MIC in yDots format, which is the result of the MIC extraction application. After entering a string, the application builds a sample visual of the matrix and displays a table with all its known encoded information. For each pattern, we created a function that first decodes the values of the segments and then calculates the results based on them.

constructor

The manual extraction application serves as an extraction assistance tool MIC using a graphics program. The application interface allows the selection of an empty matrix template of all types of patterns into which the presence of dots can be filled in by clicking in all positions of the nut. The result of the application is MIC in yDots format.

comparator

The MIC comparison application contains two inputs in yDots format. After entering the inputs, the application displays a visual of the sum of the matrices of both MICs, where it distinguishes different locations of the dots by color and marks the intersection of the dots.

Thanks to this application, it is possible to visually verify the match of two MICs. Utilization it is especially significant with the xerox pattern, which thanks to the coding of variable print parameters (time, date, print method) is generated by each I print the difference matrix.

extractor

The Extractor application is an automated software solution based on advanced computer vision methods, developed for the needs of MIC research. The application is not publicly available and is intended exclusively for academic purposes.
