The Xerox pattern does not have a static segment, but it can be easily recognized thanks to the checkerboard layout. The information is directly encoded into the matrix columns in binary format.

In addition to information about the printer, the matrix of the xerox pattern contains information about the print itself. For one document of A4 size, the MIC of the xerox pattern is printed approximately 170 times.
